York City Ladies FC are still on track in all three cups after a nail-biting 3-2 win over league rivals Leeds City Vixens in the Yorkshire Cup third round.
York twice came from behind to level with the visitors, Kelly Chesterton scoring the first and Louise Ross heading the second. Excellent goalkeeping from Bev Dodd and strong defending kept City in the game.
Then, just as extra time loomed, Jenny Garnett got on the end of a poor clearance from the Leeds 'keeper to smash the ball home.
York return to league action this Sunday at KitKat Crescent against Sporting Links (Caistor).
Knaresborough Town Ladies FC recovered from a shaky start to thump York City LFC Reserves 6-1.
They took the lead through skipper Claire Bridson, who added a second expertly for a 2-0 half-time lead.
Soon into the second half Bridson completed her hat-trick before Debbie Higgins weighed in with a brace of goals, Ali Purvis then adding a fine solo effort. City reserves' consolation was a late Nic Whelan penalty.
Second-placed Town travel to Keighley this Sunday in the second round of the Knockout Cup.
