THIS is the first time I have written to the Press but I couldn't help but respond to Bernard Lyne's letter. I agree with him that there are too many moaners.
For what it's worth, here is my baker's dozen.
My husband's morning cuppa.
Collecting my pension on a Monday morning.
Caravan holidays on the North Yorks Moors.
Fish and chips from our local chippy.
Our five grandchildren for their help teaching me to master the computer.
All the mod cons we didn't have when I was young.
Listening to my husband sing.
Family get togethers at Christmas and birthdays.
Playing Scrabble (especially when I win).
Being able to keep in touch with friends all over the world via email.
Going for a swim.
Knitting.
Seeing the children's smiling faces as they go to school.
