I WAS amused to read in your Save Terry's campaign that "the last surviving Terry" blames "people from abroad who take over without having a local interest".
I take it his family sold the company in the first place, not caring or thinking about the possible ramifications (The Last Terry, April 20).
I'm sorry to say that Kraft Foods does not have a loyalty to York, why should it have? They are a money-making company in a very competitive market. If they found themselves in a situation where they had to raise prices just to stay in business, who would benefit?
It's a great shame that this company is closing but I'm afraid it's what is known as a sign of the times and progress.
