FANS needn't have worried when a tannoy went out at half-time for the doctor on duty at the match to go to the Knights' changing rooms.
There were fears he was needed to see to Neil Thorman, who had limped off in the first half, or perhaps a team-mate suffering from a serious head knock.
But in fact he was called to see to referee Colin Morris, who was suffering from toothache. The Huddersfield warbler was okay to resume as normal in the second half.
Thorman sustained a calf strain, though it was not known at time how serious it was. Jim Elston also suffered a black eye while there were other bumps and bruises but nothing serious.
Mick Ramsden surprisingly shook off flu to play but Jonny Liddell was not fit after having the virus so, along with calf injury victim Chris Levy, was not risked.
Meanwhile, another ex-Knight to have joined the Doncaster Dragons camp is Aaron Wood.
The York-based Aussie, who played 15 times for the Knights at centre last season, did not play against his old team-mates yesterday as he has just returned from his homeland and had not completed the mandatory brain scans needed by the Rugby Football League.
Former Knights winger Scott Walker has left York's Division Two rivals Hunslet, despite having only signed for them this pre-season. Ex-Knight Kevin Spink has also left the Hawks.
