MARK Woodward scored for the tenth consecutive game as Leeper Hare York and District Football League premier division leaders Dringhouses won 4-0 at Selby T&L.

The scoreline did not do justice to the hosts' contribution with all the goals coming in the second half.

Lee Atkinson with his fourth of the season made it 2-0 and Alan Jackson came off the bench to add two late goals for the visitors.

Malton Bacon Factory had to share the points following a 0-0 home draw with Wiggington Grasshoppers though the Malton side were controversially denied a penalty five minutes from time.

Dunnington moved out of the bottom two after their 5-3 win at Copmanthorpe to record their first away win of the season.

They were given an early lead through an own goal but two goals from Kieran Dow gave Cop a 2-1 half-time advantage.

A Chris Burgess penalty levelled the scores before Terry Hibbett put Cop back in front only for Burgess to hit another equaliser. In the final quarter of the game, goals from Steve Hadden and Robert Hart sealed the win for Dunnington.

Pocklington swapped places with Dunnington as they lost 5-1 at Bishopthorpe with 16-year-old Anthony Andrews hitting Pock's consolation goal. Joe Gardham (2), Paul Goldsmith, David Kettlewell and Steve Purdy had earlier set up Bishopthorpe's fifth home win of the season.

With division one leaders York St John's College not having a fixture, the three sides immediately below them all took the opportunity to close the gap at the top.

New Earswick completed the double over rivals Norwich Union with a 3-1 home victory with goals from Mark Crangle, Richard Marshall and Tom Robinson. Matt Devereaux hit Union's goal.

Nestl Rowntree registered their fifth straight win as they thrashed Wilberfoss 5-0. A brace of first half goals from Danny Leach was followed after the interval with goals from Anthony Luck, Andy Kennedy and a Stephen Blake penalty.

Rufforth registered their first double of the season as they beat Selby RSSC 2-0 with two late goals from Andy Moss and Phil Jones and finished the game with seven players under the age of 18.

Michael Cooper's recent run of goals has coincided with the Post Office revival.

He scored for the sixth league game on the trot, which matches the team's unbeaten run, when he hit the second goal in their 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge. Earlier a Mathew Woodcock header had given Post Office the lead.

Hamilton Panthers recorded their fourth away win of the season by beating Easingwold 4-2. Andrew Metcalfe (senior) gave the home side an early lead but two goals in five minutes - the first from Shaun Taylor quickly followed by a Jamie Hewitson strike - put Panthers in front.

Ian Hardisty drew Easingwold level but two superb free-kicks from Paul King gave Panthers victory.
