Four North Yorkshire schools have been praised by education bosses for making it on to an internet hall of fame.
Education chiefs at North Yorkshire County Council have praised Oatlands Infant School, and St Aidan's Church of England High School, both Harrogate, Roecliffe Church of England Primary School, and Thornton-in-Craven Community Primary School, Skipton for making it on to Ofsted's top list.
Cynthia Welbourn, corporate director of education, said: " The standards of education in our 390 schools are generally high and they do well in OFSTED inspections. But these four schools have shown their ability to maintain very high standards continuously through the period of two inspections, which is very commendable."
Coun Chris Metcalfe, the county council's executive member for education, said: "This is indeed course for celebration in North Yorkshire.
"It is a credit to all the staff who work in the four schools and to those in North Yorkshire County Council's education service who have supported them."
All four schools were named in an article in last Friday's Evening Press. To see the full
