SARAH Jackson closed on bull to win a lone hand pairs in York John Smith's Ladies Darts League division one, but could not prevent Flag's defeat at Independent.
Wendy Shortle and Sue Tate secured the points for Independent.
Bev Harton closed treble 16, double 20 as Cueball 'B' raced to a 6-3 win against Leeman 'B'.
Blacksmiths were prevented from a clean sweep by Slip 'A's partnership of Pat Cairns and Brenda Robinson. Chris Godson-Babs Potter secured the smallest margin win for Holgate at Slip 'B'.
Clifton's Ruth Norman-Karen Hodgson set up the decider against visitors Cygnet 'A'. The home side's victory was sealed by the Donna Maskill-Jan Wilberham partnership.
Cygnet 'C' fared better with 25 from Roz Kerr seeing them bowl over Dringhouses.
Burnholme went top in division two with Nikki Riley-Marjorie Pearson winning the decider against Cygnet 'B'. Shepherd 'A' drop into second place slipping up at Slipper. Glynnis Simpson-Deanna Joy were Severus's match-winners at Jubilee.
Sam McShane-Rose Foakes sealed victory for Sun 'B', who eclipsed their 'A' team. Barbara Ward-Mavis Rawcliffe were the match-winners for Tang Hall at Tap.
Division two side Locomotive have withdrawn from the league.
Division three leaders Leeman 'C' were gifted the points when St Clements could not raise a team. Leeman 'A' were also winners as Cueball 'A' couldn't field a side. Emma Cooper starred as Volunteer 'A' polished off their 'B' team 6-3. A maximum by Cygnet 'D's Audrey Allan helped her side go joint top as they were prevented from a full house by Leeman 'D's Christine Judson.
Burton WMC and Turf were understrength and managed to tie their fixture 4-4.
