It seems that following the tsunami disaster, atheists are having a field day (your letters page on Saturday carried an example).
No one who has cast aside their childish faith and replaced it with the adult version imagines for a moment that God sits on a cloud deciding whether or not to deliver earthquakes, typhoons or sunny weather.
It is all quite simple really. This world and nature in all its glory or terror is physical. God is spiritual. The strength of our faith is not tested by the fact that natural events occur. God is evident in the ways we respond.
