ONE lucky under-14 girls' team can win a two-hour training session with York City's coaching staff as part of a national initiative.
The side will also get 50 tickets to watch the Minstermen's home game with Woking on February 19.
City are holding a competition, as part of the Nationwide Supporters of Tomorrow initiative, to find a team that will also perform a half-time skills display in front of the Bootham Crescent crowd. The winning team will also be presented with a new strip.
Any player or manager of an Under-14 girls' school or club team in North Yorkshire can take part and, to enter, a team photo must be sent to Nationwide Supporters of Tomorrow Scheme, York City Football Club, Bootham Crescent, York, YO30 7AQ together with full contact details of the team's manager and a 100-word statement on why your side should be chosen.
The deadline for applications is Monday, January 17 and they will be judged by City's communications director Sophie McGill, head of youth development Paul Stancliffe and York City ladies captain Abbi Webster.
