God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. If you believe that, you could knit fog.('So what's faith got to do with it?', January 6).

There is no such being as God. If there were why would he allow all this suffering to innocent human beings and children especially who, thanks to Him, will never have a life.

Why has there been all this suffering from the beginning?

I thought God was merciful. Before all the dog-collars start twitching, and the wimples and cassocks start to flutter, and all the religious nutters begin baying, let someone prove to me that there is a God.

Oh yes a loving, kindly, all-seeing, all-hearing God who lets famine and flood and pestilence scar the Earth. This Almighty God who lets innocent children suffer.

What does the Bible say? Ecclesiastes 9:2 states: "This is an evil thing that similar events occur to the righteous and wicked alike".

If that's true, how come our prisons are full of murderers, child murderers, who languish at our expense and live the life of Riley.

Perhaps Big G should have made the earth in seven days instead of six, and instead of resting he could have made sure he did a better job.
