STILL gorgeous after all these years! Former players from the Corner House pub's infamous Sunday morning football team were reunited for a big get together at their old base in Burton Stone Lane.

The lads are virtually unrecognisable from the fresh-faced specimens pictured here in their teens about to embark on a holiday to Spain.

Their well toned bodies have been replaced by bursting beer bellies, while their hair simply hasn't been replaced.

The 30-strong gang whose names include Dunny, Psycho, Fraggle, Cabbo, Sully and Riggo, reminisced about their team's glory days when they used to give the opposition a thrashing while still recovering from a heavy sesh the night before.

Organiser Gary Sullivan, 39, says: "It was just like we were 18 again - it is always special when we get together.

"The jokes were just the same."

The lads went on a pub crawl from the Corner House after playing cards and darts and demolishing platefuls of sandwiches in seconds.

Predictably the night ended in cheesy '80s bar, Nexus, where they bumped into old football rivals from Dunnington and the Magnet pub, for a lively conversation about the old days.

BAD Lad's Army motormouth Mark Sullivan has given us some top tips on how to lose those excess Christmas pounds without losing pounds.

The fitness expert, who now runs weekly circuit sessions at York's Archbishop Holgate School, says there are huge savings to be made on gym fees if you shop around - and even freebies.

"Gyms all want your money and will be keen to offer you a deal," Mark tells us.

"Ask if you can have a free workout to 'try the gym out'. Most gyms should and will offer this as part of the process.

"After all you would take a new car for a test drive before buying."

Thanks Mark, Diary will get right on to it the second after finishing this whopper cheeseburger.
