A North Yorkshire company has won a contract to supply bottled water for Virgin Trains.
The two-year deal for an undisclosed sum will see a 3.4 million bottles of Harrogate Spa Water consumed by Virgin customers.
Harrogate Spa Water will be sold in shops on all Pendolino and Voyager services, while First Class customers will receive bottles as part of the complimentary refreshments service.
The bottles feature labels designed exclusively for Virgin Trains.
Harrogate Spa Water is supplying the water through Rail Gourmet, which is part of Compass Group, the world's largest food service company. Managing director Paul Martin said: "Our contract to supply water for Virgin Trains marks another huge distribution milestone for Harrogate Spa Water.
"Harrogate Spa has been available on trains and planes for some time, but to become a water supplier for such a prestigious company as Virgin is a further sign that we are continuing to grow as a business and establish ourselves as a leading player in the competitive bottled water market."
Philippa Cresswell, customer services director for Virgin Trains, said: "Harrogate Spa is excellent quality water which complements the Virgin brand."
