Selby Town turned up the heat on the NCEL premier division with a 4-1 win at Brodsworth Welfare to take them level on points at the top of the table.

Paul Bradley put the home side in front after nine minutes but Selby were level ten minutes later when a rebound from Chris Kamara's shot was hammered in by Jason Harris.

Selby went in front in the 55th minute when Harris executed a Tom Reid cross.

The Robins drew further away in the 70th minute when Cameron Stuart turned in an Adam Wash cross before substitute Dominic Graham scored a fine solo goal in the last minute.

Goole maintained their title tilt with a 2-0 defeat of Armthorpe Welfare to keep them tucked in third, three points behind Selby with three games in hand.

Craig Gorman set them on their way with a 35th-minute strike before Ben Eastwood polished things off with another 15 minutes from time.

But Pickering Town slipped from the top four in the wake of Sheffield's 5-1 thrashing of Buxton after only managing a draw at Glasshoughton Welfare.

Julian Wilkes put Glasshoughton in front with a 12th-minute penalty. Alex Mathie's men then had to wait until the 69th minute for Mark Swales' equaliser.

Meanwhile, Harrogate Town boss John Reed will be hoping to dip into the loan market this week after losing two left-sided midfielders in a week.

Lee Philpott came off after just two minutes of Sunday's 2-1 Conference North win at Bradford PA with a hamstring pull. Replacement Colin Hunter had to be substituted shortly into the second half with a similar problem.

He said: "We are very much down to the bare bones. I will be speaking to the chairman about getting someone on loan. As it is FA Cup week, some are involved in that so it's going to be difficult."
