CRAIG Wedge gamed on a fabulous 14 darts then followed up with a 100 finish for 17 for Cygnet 'B' in their York Cygnet-Phoenix Monday Darts League division one match with house rivals Cygnet 'A'.
The 'A' team ran out 6-3 winners with Dave Mason bagging a brace of maximums, Jack White 180, Pete Leake with 18 darts and skipper Kev O'Hara clinching the match with 20.
Sun Inn whitewashed Acorn ARL, as Chris Thompson hit 180 then gamed in 15 and 18 darts. Thompson was well backed by Kev Walton with 17 and 19, while Tony Cooper checked 122 bull finish for 21 to complete the rout.
A maximum from Nick Harteveld set Huntington WMC on their way to a narrow victory over high fliers Ebor, who had 21 from Mark Hartley and 19 from Arthur Conyers.
Twenty-one darts from Mike Harris after a pairs maximum inspired Acomb SC to a clean sweep at Rose & Crown.
In division two, Blacksmith's kept in touch with the top two with a 6-3 win against Crescent WMC who had Iain Smith with a 120 finish for 21.
A 92 two-dart finish for 20 darts from Andy Turpin sealed Flag 'A's win against Loco, who had a maximum from Col Rowntree.
Trev Platt was Slipper's match winner after Paul Partridge had closed on 19 against Edinburgh, who had Paul Bartnett notching a maximum and 21 darts from Andy Mason, while Mal Davey took the only point for a depleted Alice Hawthorn at Falcon.
Britannia head division three after an 8-1 victory over Lord Nelson who had Phil Cuss with an impressive 18 darts, while Hospital Social Club leap-frog Derwent Arms into third spot as Toni Smallwood gamed in 19 and John Callard hit a 180.
In a match played for 'double points' Flag 'B' defeated Sun Inn 8-1. Sarah Jackson hit a maximum for Flag, while Ron Kitchen was Sun's only winner.
Result sheets must be with the league secretary by noon on the Thursday following the match.
