YORK will look to keep pace with league leaders Percy Park by beating Acklam tomorrow, before the pair face-off in a massive crunch match in Durham and Northumberland One next week.
Fresh from a 60-3 drubbing of Ryton at Clifton Park, the club can gear up for their top-of-the-table clash in fine style by defeating an Acklam outfit which has leaked points all season.
With just two wins from ten games and having conceded a massive 422 points, the Teessiders should be no match for a York outfit which stuck to the task against Ryton and battered them with some superb running rugby in the second half.
Third-placed York will be looking to speedy winger Rob Kama (pictured right) to repeat his four-try haul and ensure another win.
York will also be keeping an eye on the result of Percy Park against Durham City as a convincing win could see York move into second place, setting up a barnstorming game next Saturday.
The team that travels to Acklam sees three changes. In the backs, Sam Arkle moves from wing to the centre in place of Sean Bass, and Craig Ventress replaces Mike Ford. In the pack, Aidie Martin takes the place of Dave Dorking at prop.
Malton and Norton will hope Morpeth provide little resistance when they look to get their North 2 East season back on track, following a 29-10 defeat to Huddersfield last weekend.
That defeat pushed Malton and Norton down to fifth place but Morpeth - despite only two wins this season - may provide tougher opposition than their league position suggests. With a goal difference of just minus 51, the Northumberland side have been on the end of some narrow reverses this campaign and, following their 33-10 win last weekend against Horden, confidence is high.
Pocklington, following an easy 48-10 win against Heath last time out, will want to dispatch Yorkshire Two basement side Leodiensians.
Going for their sixth straight win, the East Yorkshire club have bolstered their resources up front with the signing of 20-year-old prop, Adrian Longborne, from Hull Ionians, and he comes straight into the side.
Returning to the back row is Scott Littlefair and while Leodiensians may prop up the league, they are the current holders of the Powergen Vase following their win at Twickenham in April.
This season's Vase sees Pocklington travel to Sheffield Tigers on December 18, thereby postponing the scheduled league game at West Park.
