WITH Leeds United's injury list growing, Harpal Singh may get his chance on the bench at West Ham tomorrow night.
Bradford-born Singh has never made the breakthrough predicted for him when he first joined Leeds' academy and with his contract running out at the end of this season, he is at a crucial stage of his career.
A regular performer in the reserves, Singh has had spells out on loan at Bury, Bristol City and Bradford City, but this could be his chance to break into the first team at Leeds.
Manager Kevin Blackwell is struggling to get 11 fit players into the starting line-up for Upton Park with David Healy, Brian Deane, Matthew Kilgallon, Clarke Carlisle and Gary Kelly all on the treatment table.
With Frazer Richardson ready to deputise for Kelly, Singh may get the opportunity to act as bench cover for wide-men Healy and John Oster.
