Sleeve: In the Seventies, the Bee Gees' LP artwork was usually special. A flimsy five-inch booklet hardly matches up.
Sleevenotes: Insubstantial. Best buy the authorised biography.
Content: Nineteen global number one hits from 40-year career.
High point: The additional track, Man In The Middle, dedicated to late Maurice Gibb, is the only reason Bee Gees fans will have to own this collection.
Low point: By only featuring legitimate number ones, some of their best work is absent.
Glaring omissions? No
Anything new? The aforementioned Man In The Middle.
Justified or feeble excuse for release? Far superior 40-track retrospective, For The Record, is still available. Buy that.
Where might this end up at Christmas? Every home needs a Bee Gees collection.
