It was great to read in the Press how well Huntington School did in the national A-level results (December 2). To find themselves in the top 25 schools in the country is a great achievement.
The head teacher, staff and especially the pupils deserve great praise.
Three of my children went there years ago, and despite much criticism from some parents and the media, they all enjoyed their education there.
Many parents spend hours trying to find the right school for their offspring whom they describe as a "gifted child". The local school is nearly always the answer - my family have good careers.
