YORK City caretaker boss Viv Busby is hoping to sign trialist striker Paul Robinson today.
Robinson, who has scored twice in three appearances for City, is currently discussing a financial agreement with Tranmere Rovers to release him from his contract and make him free to join the Minstermen.
Busby is expected to offer the 20-year-old forward a short-term contract with the view to a permanent deal.
