"MOSTLY Autumn are York's biggest music act". The only correct statement in Richard Foster's review of their concert at the Grand Opera House.
How can he say many of the songs were the same? The audience were blown away by two hours of original material, from soulful ballads to electronic rock, from stomping rock'n' roll to sweeping symphonic masterpieces.
Not only, as he pointed out, were we enthralled by Brian Josh's guitar, we also had great keyboard - piano, organ and synthesiser - solos and excellent flute also. Perhaps he missed these.
Mostly Autumn have a 10,000-strong base here in the UK and last year played to 3,500 fans over three nights, including selling out London Astoria, Wolverhampton and Newcastle.
As for experimenting with different ideas, would he like them to add a brass section and do three-minute cover versions?
