YORK City striker Paul Robinson has recovered from a hamstring injury and will be available for Tuesday night's home clash with Halifax, writes Dave Flett.
Robinson has missed City's last four matches but has trained all week and is fit enough to face the Shaymen.
The former Newcastle forward is only likely to make the bench though with Andy Bishop expected to recover from a swollen ankle in time to partner Saturday's goal hero Lee Nogan in attack.
Robinson has also played on the right wing six times this season but Kevin Donovan is currently the favoured choice in that position.
Caretaker-boss Viv Busby said: "He's fit and will be back in the squad. He brings that bit more experience that we have been after and will be another body.
"He can play up front or wide right and, on his day, he's a very good player so it will be nice to have him back. I think he prefers playing up front but he can do a job on the right.
"We've been wanting competition for places and I'm hoping for some keener selection problems now."
Busby will also hold talks with Tranmere today about extending Robinson's striking namesake's trial at Bootham Crescent.
Trialist Paul Robinson has played two reserve matches for City and scored in his latest outing against Grimsby's second string on Monday night.
