ONE is tempted to ask Mr Cole (Too Out of Touch, Thursday November 25) to tell us - did he get where he is today "without putting in the necessary effort or having natural abilities?"
When he overlooks the most important words and meaning at the end of the sentence of the quotation from Prince Charles, either from carelessness or from calculated prejudice (wherever could I have got that idea?), I begin to wonder.
Of course the oh-so-virtuous, so-righteous Mr Cole would never, ever, 'shout or mouth at the radio' in a moment of irritation, like many a red-blooded male (or female).
He, in his characteristically sustained, modest, understanding(?) fashion would do no more than "mutter or mumble".
What a splendid example of good house-training Mr Cole provides for our noisy, ignorant Prince - but no example at all for the accurate interpretation of and balanced commentary on the remarks made by public figures such as Prince Charles.
Mr Cole is "too out of touch"!
