An artist management company based in York has launched a new website.
Hotelier Craig Hume, who operates Meantime Artist Management (MAM) and counts among his clients top names in jazz and blues nationally and locally, hopes that the website will attract more business through corporate events, conferences, private functions, concerts and charity events.
Craig, himself a professional saxophonist, started the venture with his business partner Martyn Ryan from a separate office within his nine-bedroom Treetops Hotel in Bootham last year.
Craig manages the artists and Martyn looks after sales and marketing.
Craig, 37, said: "We want the website to demonstrate the quality of the artists on our books. These include Marisa Turner, who has worked with Tom Jones, Prince and Chaka Khan; Mike d 'Abo, formerly of Manfred Mann, who wrote the 1968 chartbuster Build Me Up Buttercup, which was the theme song for the film Something About Mary; and drummer and producer Paul Smith, who has worked with Sting."
Also on his books are York artists James Lancaster, a jazz trumpet player, Karl Mullen, a jazz pianist, and singer Nina Zagorski.
"Visitors to our website will be able to download pictures and music as well as read the biographies."
The website is at www.mam-uk.com
