IT was a case of easily spotting the difference when snooker star Paul Hunter christened a famous table at York RI yesterday, writes Hugh MacDougall.
The two RI club players who took on the world number four from Leeds got one point between them, while Hunter, who hadn't picked up a cue since being knocked out of the Travis Perkins UK Championship a week ago, coolly made a 135 clearance in the second frame.
He was there to mark the presentation by the UK Championship sponsors to the York RI club of the table on which Stephen Maguire beat David Gray on Sunday.
"It's a dream table," said Kevin Gall, the RI player who got the point against Hunter.
"At least he said I made a good break-off," Jason Milner smiled after his frame.
Hunter said: "I think what the UK tournament sponsors are doing to encourage junior snooker by giving the table to a local club is a great idea.
" I'd have liked to have a table like this in my area when I was learning."
