Dunnington'S troubled Leeper Hare York and District League premier division season took another knock on Saturday when they entertained Wigginton Grasshoppers without a recognised goalkeeper.
The visiting partnership of James Vine and man of the match Ben Coates caused problems for the hosts who went down 4-1.
Grasshoppers' first strike was a Jamie Seal free-kick before Vine chipped in two delightful goals and Ross Thompson cracked in a 25 yard volley. Richard Dolby scored a consolation goal 20 minutes from the end.
Malton Bacon Factory beat Thorpe United 2-0 for the second time this season. Debut man Dave Bradshaw, a recent signing from rivals Old Malton, gave BF the lead and Chris Hudson added the seond.
New Earswick missed the opportunity to go top of division one after they were beaten 2-0 at Wilberfoss where Dave Bailes and Nick Palfrayman were on target.
Post Office recorded their first win of the season after they beat Stamford Bridge 6-3.
Mathew Graham led the way with a hat trick - and he missed a penalty - with the other goals coming from Michael Cooper, Shaun Robinson and Chris O'Driscoll. Kevin Smith, an own goal and Harry Bryan replied for the visitors.
Easingwold also recorded their first win as they triumphed 4-1 at Selby RSSC who scored first through Paul Stephenson. Eddie Myers equalised and further goals by Tim Jackson, Adam Graves and Mark Coulson sealed the victory which lifted Easingwold off the bottom.
Division two leaders Heslington took the lead at Strensall through an own goal but Nigel Lyle equalised.
The introduction of substitute Gary Newbold in the second half was the turning point as he put Heslington in front and Simon Musgrave made it 3-1 to ensure Heslington's fifth straight win.
Tadcaster Albions's Danny Gray hit four goals in a division three game for the third successive week as they beat LNER Builders 8-1.
Three goals in the first ten minutes put Tadcaster in command but a weakened Builders side managed to restrict Tad to only one other goal before the break.
Tudor Carrington's penalty gave Builders some hope but Albion hitthree goals in the final ten minutes. Right-back Richard Hare collected a hat-trick and Dave Watson completed the rout.
York RI returned to winning ways after two successive defeats to defeat basement side Cawood 9-4. The league's top scorer Nick Hutchinson took his tally to 25 for the season with four goals and Lee Dutton hit a hat trick. RI's other goals came from Darren Sellars and Chris Elleker.
For their Reserve 'A' game at Pocklington, Dunnington fielded a side containing seven players under 16 and won with the only goal, scored after just three minutes.
Copmanthorpe registered their first away win of the season, beating Malton Bacon Factory 4-0 with goals from Matt Pearson (penalty) Josh Levitt and Paul Scurry (2).
In Reserve 'C', Tockwith extended their unbeaten League home run to 13 games with a 2-0 win over White Horse thanks to goals by Jamie Wardman and John Walker.
