BOOT and Slipper finally registered their first John Smith's York Sunday Morning Football League victory of the season - but still have nothing to show for it.

Two own goals and strikes from Peacock, Goodrick and Bagley earned them a 5-0 victory at Turpin.

But it won't be recorded in the division two table as Turpin immediately resigned from the league through lack of players.

Shipton continued their championship form with a 2-0 home win over Acomb SC with goals in each half from Blake and West.

Acomb WMC remain on their tails after their 4-3 win over York Nomads with goals from Wayne Carter (2), Paul Barker and Danny Gray. Thompson (2) and Bradley responded for Nomads.

Neil Taylor gave Hemingbrough the lead on 15 minutes against Nestl Flag but the visitors were level before the break through Dyson. The second half was all one-way traffic as Dickinson, Fenton, Caddywold, Laidlaw and Martin all netted to give Flag a 6-1 win.

The only game in division one to beat the weather saw Hounds move level at the top with Marcia after a 3-0 win at Ainsty Panthers courtesy of goals from Gladwell, an own goal and a stunning volley from Hunter.

Division three leaders Bishopthorpe lost their unbeaten record when they lost 4-0 at third-placed The Plough, whose goals came from from Noble, Bedford, Thompson and Mulane.

Second-placed Fulford also came a cropper as they surprisingly lost 5-3 at bottom club Heworth.

Mark Burton scored all four for Beeswing in their 4-0 defeat of Barlby Athletic. Littlewood (3), Collier (2) and Shooter were on target as Real Way Station beat Five Lions 6-2.

James Barratt opened the scoring for Skelton after just two minutes of their division four game at Gypsy Moth, who then hit back to lead 2-1 through Oxtoby and Sayles.

Goals from Grainger and Neale Holmes (2) put the visitors 4-2 in front with only half an hour played and Barratt hit his second with 20 minutes left to secure a 5-2 win.

Davis netted twice as Bay Horse (Tadcaster) beat F1 Racing 6-3. Acomb Celtic moved into third spot with a 6-1 win over Rumours with Gareth Gray scoring twice.

Poppleton Road WMC rode their luck at times as Albion Vaults dominated possession in their game but Vaults were made to rue missed chances as Scott Dickinson (2) and Mick Rollinson gave the visitors a 3-1 win.

Bulmer scored two as Castle Howard Ox beat Enterprise 3-2. Wilberfoss' early season form seems to have deserted them as they went down 2-1 at home to Black Swan, whose goals both came from Peach.

Steve Illing gave Quaker Wood an early lead in their top of division five clash with Thomas' Hotel.

Stevie Scott hit the net either side of half time to give Thomas' the lead but they pressed the self destruct button to allow Mike Holmes to equalise. Indeed it could have been worse had the same player not managed to hit the bar from a yard out with the goal at his mercy.

Metcalfe hit yet another hat-trick for Raskelf as they moved up to third with a 6-1 win at Pocklington Rangers. Parkin-Coates also hit a hat-trick as Holgate WMC recovered from 4-2 down at the break to win 6-4 at home to Cawood, Knowles netting two for the visitors.

Rich Staples scored twice for CPP as they drew 2-2 at Wrights Sports Bar, whose Hartley and Goodwin were on the mark.
