ISN'T it about time the Save Our Barbican minority group bowed to the inevitable and stopped causing delays and more expense over the whole issue?
If York is to have any provision at all for swimming in the foreseeable future SOB should pipe down and stop "muddying the waters".
That said, it is still fairly disgraceful that a city like York does not have a really good and affordable leisure centre.
Other much smaller towns can boast better facilities. I suppose it's the same old cry of "no money". But why?
