YORK City caretaker boss Viv Busby will have another look at possible loan striker Paul Robinson next week after an "okay" display for the Minstermen reserves last night.
The Tranmere Rovers forward played in City's 4-0 Pontin's Holidays League division one East 4-0 defeat to Boston, in which Busby fielded a squad of youngsters.
"He looks as though he's not had a game for a few weeks and has a lack of match practice but he did okay," said Busby.
Only goalkeeper Chris Porter and striker cum midfield wannabe Lev Yalcin of the senior squad played last night. Of Yalcin, Busby said: "He played midfield then went up front and he did okay. He's got a lot to learn if he's going to be a midfielder, like when to defend and when to go forward."
He added: "Boston had a very strong team out and obviously with our injury crisis we didn't want to risk anybody. We only had three subs and the team was basically all the young lads, 16-year-olds and all sorts. They did okay but it was difficult, a bit of learning process really."
