CARLTON United caused the RJF Homes Beckett Football League shock of the season by dumping top-flight Kirkbymoorside Reserves out of the Gordon Harrison Memorial Trophy.
A home quarter-final place against Union Rovers was booked by Carlton, who are currently struggling in the lower reaches of the second division, after a 4-2 victory thanks to goals from Dean Rudd (2), Paul Reynard and Graham Parker.
Rob McDermid and Shaun Walker replied for the Moorsiders.
Union Rovers beat Heslerton 4-1 with Pete Tiffany bagging a brace. Nicky Todd and Richard Abbey also netted but Lee Rudd was sent off for violent conduct.
Extra-time saw Sinnington beat Ryedale SC 3-2 after the score was 1-1 at the end of 90 minutes.
Sinners' sub Wayne Moon scored his first goal for the club and netted his second to make it 3-1 after John Sherwood had levelled and Gary Mitchell restored the first division side's lead. Andy Rouph got Ryedale's second.
Favourites Kirkdale United will now visit Sinnington in the last eight.
Kirkdale opened up a nine-point gap at the top of the first division by winning 2-0 at nearest rivals Aislaby United. Ian Prendergast and Uhi Ehiha were on the scoresheet.
Rosedale won 3-0 at Duncombe Park with John Tindal, Martin Myers and Kenny Weatherill on target.
In the second division, Slingsby went top after a 1-1 draw at Ampleforth. Kai Morley scored his first Ampleforth goal but the new leaders earned a point through Paul Cook.
