Argento, a creditable runner-up at Wetherby last month, returns to the 'A1' course tomorrow with excellent prospects of going one better.
George Moore's charge goes for the Rocom Clear One Handicap Chase over two miles and will again be partnered by Barry Keniry, who got a good tune out of him here last time.
Argento found only the useful Winchester too good on his seasonal debut and went down by three lengths, staying on strongly at the finish.
Over the same distance tomorrow and with that race under his belt, Argento looks sure to produce a big run.
La Perrotine does not run until the final race at Wetherby tomorrow, but Howard Johnson's well-regarded four-year-old could be well worth the wait.
Although she failed to get her head in front in two tries last season, the promising La Perrotine made no mistake on her recent comeback outing at Hexham.
Always going well, she strode clear in the final two furlongs to win very much as she liked, a victory procession which will surely have boosted her confidence.
Graham Lee is again in the saddle tomorrow when La Perrotine is napped to double her tally before her attentions are turned to hurdling.
Johnson and Lee can also win with Arcalis in the 'Grouse Moor' Novices' Hurdle.
A high-class handicapper on the Flat, Arcalis enjoyed his finest moment at York in mid-summer when winning the John Smith's Cup. He could develop into a top-ranking hurdler, provided he has the flair for jumping.
Johnson and Lee have another sound chance with Iron Man, an Ayr winner last time out, in the Countryside Juvenile Novices' Hurdle.
The 'Fly Fishing' Handicap Chase looks a good opportunity for Strong Resolve to continue trainer Lucinda Russell's run of success, with 19 winners this season. Strong Resolve, a brilliant jumper and bold galloper, won at Ayr recently.
Ferdy Murphy has his Middleham team in great form and Union Deux, a fluent winner at Wetherby three weeks ago, has every chance of following-up. Keith Mercer, making great strides this season under Murphy's support, has the mount in the the 'Fox And Hounds' Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle.
