CARETAKER chief Viv Busby admitted he was pleased with the Minstermen's first match under his charge but felt the team deserved at least a point and would have come away with a positive result if they had finished better.
He said: "After the trauma of recent weeks, we told the players to show the fans that we can go out and play football and I was very proud of them.
"Not many teams will come here and get a result and I was very confident with the way we were playing."
Added Busby: "Afterwards the players were sick because they knew they played some good football and I hope our fans have seen something they feel we can improve on.
"Sometimes you don't get out of this game what you deserve but, if we keep working like that week in, week out, we will get results."
City's caretaker boss continues to comment carefully about whether he would like the role on a full-time basis. He said: "If the powers that be decide I am not good enough then I will just walk away. I haven't got a contract but we will be giving it the best shot we can."
