THE top two sides in Reserve 'A' both won by the same 4-1 margin and in doing so completed doubles over their respective opponents.
Old Malton stretched their unbeaten run to seven games after beating Pocklington with goals from Shaun Willey, Jamie Stone, Martin Hood and Tom Moorcroft.
Mick Lock scored Dringhouses' opener which was cancelled out by Malton Bacon Factory's Jamie Ward, but 'Houses regained the lead before the break through Darren Smith. Steve Cross added the third and Jamie Backhouse completed the scoring in the last ten minutes.
Two long-range efforts, the first a 30-yard volley from Alan Armitage, the second from even further out from Paul Scurry, gave Copmanthorpe a two-goal lead at St John's College. But the students preserved their unbeaten home record with two late goals - Robin Bedford on 77 mins and the equaliser in the third minute of added time from John Leagh.
Easingwold secured their first Reserve 'B' away win of the season after beating Bishopthorpe 4-1. The hosts had the bulk of the game but only had a Ben Clarke goal to show, while the visitors had Mike Smith (2), Mike Raper and James Slater on target.
Trailing 1-0 to Barmby Moor's Kenny Anderson, Wiggington Grasshoppers ran amok after the break through Jon Beech (4), Luke Wilson (2), James Tong, Mitch Buckley and Nick Jackson before Tim Fernell snatched a late second for Moor.
The form-book ran true in the Reserve 'C' clash of top against bottom as Hamilton Panthers beat Heslington 7-0 with goals from Steve Gagen (4), Craig Ware, Tony Brown and Craig Fletcher. White Horse Church Fenton won their first game in six as they beat fellow strugglers Hemingbrough 5-2. Dave Marshall got a couple with other contributions from Simon Wilson, John Sumner and an own goal. Tom Caudwell converted two penalties (and missed one) for Hemingbrough.
In Reserve 'D', Ouseburn recorded their first home win of the season as they beat Moor Lane 5-1 with goals from Tom Barker (2), Tim Spakoukos (2) and Liam Croft.
Stillington recorded a 1-0 win over neighbours Huby thanks to a fine Martin Cook strike. It was the first game this season that Huby's leading scorer, Dave Brogan, failed to find the net.
