Huntington Rovers took full advantage of erstwhile leaders Dringhouses not having a game to go top of the Leeper Hare York and District League premier division after toppling hosts Dunnington 3-2.
Injuries and suspensions forced Dunnington to make four changes to the side from last week but they took the lead after only five minutes through Andy Rose. An Ian Dunne penalty levelled before the interval and three minutes into the second half Peter Cookeland put Huntington into the lead. Chris Burgess equalised, but a Rob Ellis goal ten minutes from time extended Huntington's unbeaten run to nine games.
Haxby completed the double over Old Malton after their 2-1 win to moved up to third.
Scott Barley gave Haxby a goal advantage in the first half before Dave Bradshaw bagged his sixth of the season to make it 1-1. The match was then reduced to ten-a-side before Haxby's new signing Darren Harrison followed up his hat-trick last week by hitting the winner 12 minutes from time.
Bishopthorpe have now failed to score a goal in their last four meetings with Wiggington Grasshoppers as they lost 2-0.
Man of the match Ben Coates met Chris Johnson's cross with a low header to open the scoring in the first half and the lead was doubled from the penalty spot by Jamie Seal after Coates was brought down in the box.
Bishopthorpe were indebted to their goalkeeper for keeping them in the game making several fine saves.
Copmanthorpe are rooted to the foot of the table after losing 3-0 to Malton Bacon Factory 3-0 with Nigel Allen, Darrell Craggs and Simon Collins on target.
The performance of the day was arguably at Selby RSSC in their division one clash with league leaders and previously unbeaten York St John's College.
Bottom-placed Selby, without a single league win this season, were hammered 7-0 only last month by the same opponents but goals from Mark Walker and Andy Jones gave the Selby side a 2-0 half-time lead. Andrew Sherlock with his eighth goal of the season pulled one back for St John's but Selby held out.
Easingwold slipped into bottom spot after their 1-0 home defeat to Stamford Bridge with Nick Rank hitting his fifth goal in three games.
Post Office shared the points with Wilberfoss. Michael Cooper had given Post Officea first half lead but a Dave Bailes penalty squared the game.
Matt Usher's far-post header was the only goal of the game for Norwich Union against fourth placed Hamilton Panthers.
