HARROGATE Town were reduced to nine men as they lost 2-1 at Conference North rivals Redditch United.
Mark Haran was sent off for a professional foul early in the second half and Dominic Krief was red-carded on 73 minutes after protesting that Richard Softley's scrambled effort for Redditch had not crossed the line.
Former Leeds United player Paul Shepherd had earlier headed Harrogate's ten men in front on 65 minutes after the visitors had dominated a first half in which on-loan Hucknall Town player Danny Holland had hit the bar and James Turley had seen a penalty saved.
Town still looked good value for at least a point after Krief's dismissal but Norman Sylla grabbed a late winner for Redditch.
Selby Town remain in second place in the Northern Counties East League premier division after a 2-1 win at Liversedge.
The Robins started well with Jason Harris and Adam Wash both firing just wide but the hosts gradually got on top and took the lead on the half hour when Gareth Hamlet headed in from a free-kick.
Selby were level five minutes into the second half when a Matthew Wain shot was deflected past keeper Sutcliffe and they took the lead after 65 minutes when a quickly taken free-kick by Cameron Stuart caught the Liversedge defence napping and Wain volleyed home.
The Robins came under heavy pressure in the closing stages but solid defending and excellent goalkeeping from Adam Mitchell ensured Selby came away with the points.
Leaders Goole beat Arnold Town 2-1 with two Gary Shaw goals while Harrogate Railway cemented third place with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Hallam.
Ryan Haigh headed Railway in front on 19 minutes and doubled the lead in the second half before Gavin Merchant completed the scoring in the 80th minute.
Pickering Town's FA Vase second round tie at Dunstan Federation was postponed. It will now be played tomorrow.
