ST Leonard's Hospice is very grateful to everyone who helped to make its recent Autumn Fair such a great success.

The event raised more than £3,000 towards our work of caring for local people who have a life-threatening illness.

Such a magnificent sum is not achieved without hard work by many people, including our own staff and our many volunteers. And, of course, the event could not be successful without lots of people coming on the day to spend their money so generously.

It costs £2 million each year to run St Leonard's Hospice, nearly all of it coming from fundraising and donations. We never make any charge to patients or their families, but rely on the generosity of local people.

We are very pleased that as we approach our 20th anniversary such generosity from the people in York and the surrounding area can still be relied upon.

Thank you to all of you!
