FURTHER to Marguerite Chapman's letter regarding her post (November 12). If it is any consolation, she is most definitely not alone when it comes to receiving her - or anybody else's - post at some late hour of the day.
Here in Sheffield we're having the same problems. This week, our business didn't receive any post on Thursday, something I have never experienced in the 19 years I've been here.
It finally came on the Friday although I'm not sure if Friday's post was in fact Thursday's and whether Friday's post might come later.
A business cannot be expected to work around a post that arrives mid-afternoon. It just makes me wonder where we would be if all the facsimile and e-mail correspondence was sent the old snail-mail way.
So it would appear we're all suffering together.
