Fifth division Thomas's looked to be heading through after a hat-trick from Terry Taylor and a two from Steve Scott against Bay Horse goals by Sebine and Nicholls.
Despite trailing 5-2 with five minutes remaining, Sebine pulled another goal back from the spot and Thomas's panicked, allowing Nicholls, Murphy and McSorley to score the goals that gave Horse an improbable 6-5 win.
Cawood produced the shock of the day when they won 6-3 at high-flying division three side Hambleton after extra time, Rawson and Knowles each scoring twice.
Acomb Celtic took a three-goal lead through Hufton, Rankeillor and Raynor only for Bishopthorpe to hit back to lead through Broadbent 2, Sykes and Wigley. Hufton hit his second to take the tie to extra time in which Rankeillor bagged his second and an own goal gifted Bishopthorpe an equaliser. Celtic's goalkeeper saved the first two penalties in the shoot-out as his side won 3-0.
Matthew Simpson netted twice as Fulford beat CPP 5-1. Cy Mortimer also got two as Selby Griffin progressed with a 4-0 win over Poppleton Road WMC.
Heworth's Cooper hit two goals but his side lost 5-4 to Barlby after extra time.
Enterprise and The Plough shared six goals in normal time but two goals each for Connell and Hancocks saw The Plough through 6-3.
Patchsea (2), Adam and Phillip Bruce were on target as Shoulder of Mutton won 4-1 at Edinburgh Arms. Andy Ward and Lee White both got hat-tricks for Albion Vaults in their 8-3 win over Wanderers.
Division five side Fulford Reserves travelled to third division Real Way Station and came away with a fine 3-0 win thanks to goals from Barrett, Banister and Sargent.
Division four leaders Skelton took 35 minutes to unlock the stubborn defence of division five leaders Quaker Wood through Liam Holmes. They finished the game as a contest within five minutes of the break as goals from Pipe, N Holmes and Barratt ensured there would be no comeback. Neal Holmes later added a fifth.
Yeowart and Grewer gave F1 Racing a two goal advantage early on against Black Swan who had their keeper to thank with a string of fine saves as they came back to win 3-2.
Chris Hilton (2) and Ben Ambler gave Inland Revenue a three-goal cushion at Firkin 103 but the home side fought back and goals from Hudson, Callam and Hird levelled the tie at 3-3 with five minutes remaining. Those five minutes though were long enough for Ellis and Lund to earn Revenue a 5-3 win.
