PARKING in York city is a nightmare. There is not enough room and it is outrageously expensive.
Why does it cost so much here but not in a bigger city such as Leeds? Where is the money going?
Any efforts made to allow the citizens of York more room for parking - for example, stopping more flats and housing being built to congest the city more - would be very much welcomed, especially if it did not cost us the earth for the privilege.
People should not be punished with high parking costs or tolls for wanting their independence and peace by driving a car with their family.
