UNIVERSITY Student Ladies whitewashed their staff counterparts in Ladies Division One of the York Badminton League.
Students Heather Turner and Kate Haydock amassed 90-35 from three straight wins.
Selby Jubilee Ladies also won 9-0, as they opened their Division Two account against Fulfordgate with Claire Frost and Lyn Dawson totalling of 90-12.
Justin Rich and Chris Hunt topped the University Student Men's averages with a 90-49 return in the 7-2 win over Clifton in Men's Division One. They included a 12 and 13 victory over Phil Sinton and Richard McIntosh, who won twice for the visitors.
Shepherds Men eased to an 8-1 home win over Tadcaster in Men's Division Two with Roger Martin and Paul Nichol having an aces total of 104-53, including a 14-17, 15-12, 15-3 success over Phil Zealand and Leon Young who earned Tadcaster a consolation win.
Riverside 'B' won 5-4 at York RI 'B' in Mixed Division One. Phil Bradley and Joyce Petch took three wins for Institute, but Craig Dobson and Tricia Fowler won the match with a 12 and 9 over Dave Bloomfield and Jo Ladds.
Clifton 'B' scored a 6-3 win over University Students 'B' in Mixed Division One. Simon Christian and Gerry Screeton returned 90-51 for the winners. Jeff Burch and Sara Myers won twice for the Students wins but lost out 12 and 9 to Screeton and Christian.
Shepherds won 5-4 at Sheriff Hutton in Mixed Division Two. Jo Wade and Chris Schofield won three times for Sheriff, but Lisa McClaren and Sean Ogley swung the match with a 15-13, 15-8 over Andrew Daffern and Linda Fairclough.
Nestl 'A' registered an 8-1 win at Easingwold in Mixed Division Two where Mark Barker and Brenda Drummond took all three rubbers in straight sets for a total of 90-27. Phil Young and Kate Barugh took the home consolation with a 17-16, 8-15, 17-14 victory over Ian Turner and Mel Knowles.
Huntington 'B' lost 7-2 at home to Selby Jubilee 'A' in Mixed Division Three. Neil Richardson and Claire Frost topped the Jubilee averages with a total of 90-25, including an 11 and 4 over Lisa Turner and Clive Debenham.
Tadcaster 86 'B' entertained Pocklington 'B' in Mixed Five and ran out 5-4 winners. Alan Ward and Mary Tarbin were Tadcaster's match winners with three wins, including the vital 9-15, 15-4, 17-14 over Chris Gunby and Sheila Fixter.
