Selby Town were on the goal trail again when they beat bottom of the table Borrowash Victoria 5-0 at Flaxley Road in the Northern Counties East League premier division last night.
The kick off was delayed for 40 minutes because the visitors from Derby were held up on the motorway but when the game finally got underway the Robins soon took control.
Despite dominating the first half it ended goalless with Borrowash 'keeper Mark Wilson making some good saves.
Selby made the breakthrough just two minutes into the second half when Tom Reid scored from the penalty spot after a hand ball. The second goal came five minutes later when Brendan Illiffe put through his own goal after a goalmouth scramble and the Robins went further in front after 54 minutes when a Reid cross was powerfully headed in by Cameron Stuart.
Wilson performed more heroics in the Borrowash goal to deny the rampant Robins and they had to wait until the 82nd minute before Matthew Wain netted the fourth and Dominic Graham completed the scoring in the last minute with a neatly taken goal.
