I TOTALLY agree with Ms Hampton (Letters, November 4).
I have had to go to Archbishop Holgate School to do circuit training this evening, while the Barbican Centre stood empty. The class was run privately and not by the council (when the City of York promised that all the fitness/exercise classes would be re-located elsewhere). Where did all the circuit training classes go? Nowhere!
What are the options for circuit training? Well, it's not Oakland's Sports Centre, as they cannot find staff to teach the classes, as they are in such a state of flux. Are they closing or not for re-furbishment? Nobody knows.
At least the Save Our Barbican campaign wants the best for the residents of York who want to keep in shape. I am not sure what the Liberal Democrats want.
