YORK'S nuisance neighbours are on the run.
For years they wrecked the peace of mind of those unfortunate enough to share the same street with apparent impunity.
But City of York Council has taken up its new enforcement powers with commendable zeal. On average, every month now sees an anti-social tenant evicted.
The council does not revel in throwing householders on to the street. But it is right to place the needs of decent, law-abiding tenants above those whose actions drive everyone else to distraction.
