POPPLETON started the season five games unbeaten, including an 8-1 thrashing of Strensall, but are now winless in four and have now been beaten 4-2 at home by Strensall.
The visitors twice equalised through Andy Whitam and Keiran Slack, while Matt Brown and Stuart Ross ensured Strensall extracted some revenge for the early mauling.
Tockwith are the new leaders in DIVISION TWO following their 4-3 win at Fulford. Robert Wilson and two from Ben Tobin had given the visitors a three goal advantage but Fulford stormed back with goals from Joe Jackson, Steve Cooper and Chris Lynn. But a late winner from Tockwith centre-half Paul Smith settled it.
Ouseburn moved into second after their 3-0 win over White Horse with goals from Richard Dwight and Darren Horsfield (2).
Barmby Moor recorded their first double of the season after they won at Stillington 3-2. Matthew Beavers and a brace from 16-year-old Will Still put them ahead but Stillington fought back through Wayne Howell and Sam Gregory.
Heslington are just two points off the leaders after beating Elvington 2-1 thanks to Simon Musgrave and Peter Vince. Ray Moulds replied from the spot.
Back-to-back wins for Riccall have improved their league position, but they left it late at Civil Service with Dean Greenhough hitting the winner four minutes from time. Grant Theaker and Jack Rogers put Riccall two up before Richard Burrows responded with two.
York RI's reign at the top of DIVISION THREE lasted just one week following a 2-1 defeat at Hemingbrough.
The York side took the lead but Hemingbrough's leading goalscorer Danny Smith hit two in the space of five minutes.
Sheriff Hutton reclaimed pole position after overwhelming Bishop Wilton 7-0. Mathew "Kipper" Hartas led the way with four plus one apiece from Kevin Martin, Kevin Butler and Ross Moyniman.
LNER Builders recorded their first double of the season after winning 2-1 at Cawood. Craig Stubbs had given the Builders a slender lead but battling Cawood drew level through Ben Rawson and missed a penalty before Liam King hit the Builders' winner in the dying minutes.
Heworth and Huby shared six goals in a 3-3 draw. Heworth's marksmen were Dan Walton (2) and Keith Stamp.
Darren Mallinson put Rawcliffe in front at home to Moor Lane but the visitors drew level and then hit three in the second half to win 4-1.
