ARE we not as a nation becoming a load of moaners? Take the hunt lobby: "I will break the law and go to prison". What kind of message does this give to the young of today?
Taking up valuable police time and our money, they are not the only group of workers to have lost their livelihood over the years.
Car workers, steel workers, shipyards, manufacturing, railways - they did not break into Parliament like vandals, but went with dignity.
No wonder parents have lost control of their children, they moan the councils or schools are to blame but never themselves.
They now moan about pay for MPs, who do a seven-day week and are harassed on your doorstep. No wonder the better ones go back to work for ten times that money.
The biggest moan I cannot understand is the armed forces. They sign up for life in the armed forces and to serve our country, but when they have to do their job or face the enemy; oh no, we might get hurt!
How ironic that this weekend we shall be remembering those who did give their lives for us in two world wars. I am sure they did so without moaning but with dignity.
