A JUDGE has jailed a York woman for stabbing her ex-partner and told her to seek counselling and therapy.
Judge Jacqueline Davies said it was a miracle that Mark Ashworth was not seriously injured when Naomi Margaret Beavers, 25, stuck a knife into his leg.
It was another miracle that Beavers did not injure anyone else, when she drove off dangerously in Mr Ashworth's car and crashed it, the judge continued.
York Crown Court heard that the attack last November was the latest in a series of incidents following the breakup of the couple's relationship.
Beavers, of Poppleton Road, Acomb, pleaded guilty to wounding, aggravated taking of a vehicle and driving without insurance or a licence. She was jailed for 21 months and banned from driving for a year.
