COLOUR Of Fire release A Pearl Necklace For Her Majesty as their new single through Riverman Music on November 29.
The second single to be lifted from their August debut album Pearl Necklace, this sleazy anthem with crunching guitars and trademark interchanging vocal harmonies is available on a three-track CD with Ghost and The Major Coincident as B-sides. A white limited-edition 7-inch vinyl version is being issued too.
The York band enjoyed a successful summer, performing at the Truck Festival and on the new bands' stage at V2004, as well as being invited to play nine festivals in Europe and supporting Placebo on their French arena tour, which culminated in a sold-out Roman amphitheatre show in Nimes.
They were picked to support Sparta alongside Million Dead in a short British tour last month, and capitalising on their growing popularity in Europe, they will support The (International) Noise Conspiracy in France before undertaking their own tour across Germany, Holland, Italy and Switzerland.
Colour Of Fire then headline a UK tour in November and December, launching the new single at The Junction, in Leeman Road, York, on November 29. Dates to follow are: November 30, The Metro, London; December 1, Westend Centre, Aldershot; 2, Cavern, Exeter; 3, Phoenix, Plymouth; 4, The Square, Harlow; 6, Joiners Arms, Southampton; 7, Little Civic, Wolverhampton; 8, Studio 24, Edinburgh; 9, The Archer, Newcastle; 10, Roadhouse, Manchester; 11, Rock City, Nottingham.
