A NEW flagship building in York is to host a seminar by North Yorkshire Construction Best Practice Group.
Chris Langley, operations manager for York-based Yorkon Ltd, will speak on Modular Building In The Current Construction Marketplace, at the free breakfast meeting seminar at the new Glidewell building, in Kettlestring Lane, Clifton Moor, on November 18.
The seminar, open to all construction industry-related professionals, will explore the differences between modular construction and traditional site-based building methods.
It will also discuss the strengths of manufacturing buildings off-site and where modular construction is most suitable.
The event is being hosted by Thirsk-based design build and development company, Severfield-Reeve Projects, which designed and built the £3million Glidewell building, which will house a new unit established by North Yorkshire Police and the Crown Prosecution Service
