In my world this album had so much riding on it. The original line-up's first album together in 20 years.
What if I hated it? Luckily, I was hooked from the first listen. The last album to do that was Faithless's Reverence, so the boys were in good company.
The first few tracks Sunrise, What Happens Tomorrow and Astronaut, are catchy before it takes a funky turn with Bedroom Toys and Nice. With Simon Le Bon's distinctive vocals, the album stays true to the Duran Duran of the mid 80s, but with a modern twist (think the Wedding Album).
You find yourself listening for hints of the classics in every song: I'm sure I could hear the Reflex drums in Sunrise.
