Only three points separate the top eight teams in division two after the top two, Poppleton and Tockwith, both dropped points in draws.
Pop, who remain top despite not recording a win in their last three games, took the lead three times at White Horse with goals from James Barratt (2) and Chris Bamber, but three times White Horse levelled, through Scott Griffiths (pen), John Williams and, two minutes from time, Mike Cockerham.
Tockwith had to come from two down to share the spoils with the Civil Service, a team they had previously beaten twice this season. James Wardman and Andrew Wilson (penalty) got Tockwith's goals.
Kraemer Smith scored the only goal of the game for Barmby Moor against bottom club Stillington, while second-bottom Strensall scored their first goal in five games through Chris Stansfield and managed to hold a 1-0 lead at home to Fulford for almost an hour before conceding three late goals to Dave Aldridge, Marcus Dunne and Ben Bailey.
Just two weeks ago, Sheriff Hutton thrashed Rawcliffe 7-1 but they were surprisingly beaten on their own ground 3-2 by the same opposition and thus lost top spot in division three.
Matt Fern gave Rawcliffe an early lead but, with Darren Mallinson going off injured, they were reduced to ten men after which Dale Phillips, Sheriff Hutton's top scorer, equalised. Two goals from Darren Brandon put Rawcliffe in front again and Sheriff Hutton could only respond with a single goal from Mathew Hartaf.
The new leaders in the division are York RI, who beat Bishop Wilton 10-3 with half of their goals coming from Rob Sanderson.
The village side fought back from 2-0 to equalise through Dave Burrows and Nathan Booth but RI then ran amok to take a 7-3 lead at the interval. Darren Sellars (2), Lee Dutton, Kevin Young and a 40-yard screamer from Stuart Hartley completed the York scorers, while Booth added his second for Bishop Wilton.
Gareth Akers scored a hat-trick and Andrew Kenyon a brace as third-placed Moor Lane beat Wheldrake 5-0.
Huby raced into an early 2-0 lead against Hemingbrough through Craig Richardson and Dave Adams but Brough stormed back through Danny Smith (2), Danny Young and Harry Jackson and, although Arthur Broadbent's late goal for Huby set up a frantic final ten minutes, Brough held on.
Four goals from 19-year-old Danny Gray set up a 5-1 win for Tadcaster Albion against Heworth. Paul James, in his first game back after breaking his foot, hit Tadcaster's other goal, while Johnny Flint scored Heworth's effort.
