YORK City Baths Club had a gold rush after earning a clutch of more than 50 medals and almost 100 finals places at the Harrogate Junior Open.
The young team returned with 18 gold, 16 silver and 18 bronze medals plus two coveted top swimmer categories with a staggering 97 top eight finishes.
Michelle Moffatt earned the acclaim for being the best 13-year-old with her four-gold haul in the 50m, 100m, 200m freestyle and 200m backstroke, to which she added 50m backstroke and 200m individual medley silvers plus a bronze in the 50m butterfly.
Tom Jackson was crowned the king of the 13-year-old boys after winning the 50m breaststroke, 100m freestyle and 200m IM, taking the 200m breaststroke silver and a hat-trick of bronze in the 50m and 200m backstroke and 50m butterfly.
Andrew Burns just missed out on the 11-years boys award after gathering four golds and two silvers. He won the 50m and 200m breaststroke, 200m butterfly and 200m IM and finished second in the 50m butterfly and 200m freestyle.
Three golds highlighted Chris Burns' day in the 14-years boys to put him third overall in his age group. He succeeded in the 50m and 200m breaststroke and 50m freestyle, added a silver double for the 50m fly and 200m IM, and topped it off with a 100m freestyle bronze.
Ten-year-old Norbert Banhidy was also third in his overall category after a 50m backstroke gold and silvers in the 50m butterfly and 200m backstroke.
A silver in the 200m breaststroke plus a trio of bronzes in the 12-years 50m butterfly, 200m freestyle and 200m IM earned Duncan Rajan third overall.
Anna Atkinson-Smith excelled with a 200m fly gold, 50m and 200m breaststroke silvers and a 200m backstroke bronze in the ten-years age group, while Sophie Glasby got a full house in the 12-years girls with 200m backstroke gold, 50m backstroke silver and 200m IM bronze.
James Rogers, 12, pocketed a gold and silver in the 200m fly and 50m backstroke, and Sophie Edmonds-Allen took silver in both 11-years 50m and 200m breaststroke.
Other bronze medals went to Rachael Webster in the 11-years 200m backstroke and IM, Michael Feetenby, 11, in the 50m backstroke and Alex Fowler, 12, in the 50m breaststroke.
Top eight finish awards went to David Recchia, Kirsty Smith, Olivia Peacock, Simon Duston, Lucy Recchia, Suzy Parrott, Olivia Lawrenson, Claire Owen and Georgina Hart.
Xavier Edmonds-Allen, Georgina Grant and Hannah Garnett all recorded new personal bests.
